Position: 21st Century After School Program Paraprofessional (Noble Explorers) - Multiple Vacancies
21st Century After School Program Paraprofessional (Noble Explorers)

Join to apply for the 21st Century After School Program Paraprofessional (Noble Explorers) role at Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District.

This position supports program implementation by working with middle school and/or high school at-risk students individually and in small groups. Responsibilities include providing homework assistance, coordinating life skills training, supporting enrichment projects, and implementing interventions to promote positive social, emotional, and academic behaviors. The role involves modifying inappropriate behavior and working collaboratively with students to develop peer coping skills, under the supervision of the coordinator and building principal.

Job Details:

  • Location:

    Schools throughout the District
  • Schedule:

    Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm

On-Site Duties:

  • Arrive 15 minutes before the program begins
  • Stay 15 minutes after to assist with cleanup, reporting, and supporting late students
  • Secure instructional and other materials, and lock up the site

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with passage of the Para Pro Assessment prior to employment, or
  • One year of relevant work experience, or
  • Associate's Degree or higher, or
  • Two years of college coursework

Additional requirements include strong interpersonal skills, experience with online academic intervention programs, and possession of an Educational Aide Permit or license from the Ohio Department of Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with middle and high school students
  • Experience with at-risk, diverse, multi-cultural youth

Salary: $16.92/hour (non-degreed); $19.12/hour (2-year degree or beyond); $20.82/hour (teaching certificate)
