Job Description: The work study students will be in communication with potential adult learners to pre-orient them prior to attending the Adult Diploma Program orientation. They will assist with preparing folders and ensuring materials are organized for orientation and enrollment. Students will provide information about Tri-C Resources, including the food pantry, technology access, and other campus support services. There may be opportunities to provide tutoring to adult learners who seek assistance outside of designated tutoring hours.
The students may provide basic office skills, such as answering the department phone line and making photocopies.
- Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester;
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress;
- Adhere to College's confidentiality policy;
- Successfully pass background/drug screening;
- Answer phone and take messages;
- Clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying and faxing;
- Open and sort mail;
- Strong interpersonal communication skills;
- Willingness to learn new technology;
- Assist with special projects;
- Other duties as assigned.
