Contractor; Spanish Adult Classes Instructor

Description

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Spanish Instructor for a ten-weeks contract to teach adult learners. The instructor will create engaging lessons, adapt to different learning styles, and help students build skills in speaking, listening, and reading. Classes may be in-person or online, with schedules designed for adult learners. This is a temporary position with the possibility of renewal based on performance, program needs, and available funding.

Renewal is not guaranteed and will be determined at the discretion of the organization.

• Teach Spanish to adults in a clear and engaging way.
• Prepare and implement lessons and materials that include language and culture.
• Assess student progress and provide helpful feedback.
• Support a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Perform basic data entry related to attendance and student progress.

• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
• Experience teaching Spanish to adults.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.

Contractors will be compensated at a rate of $30.00 per hour. Payment will be issued upon submission of an invoice, according to the organization’s payment schedule.

The contractor agrees to maintain confidentiality regarding all student information and organizational materials obtained during the course of this contract.

Please note that this is a contract position (W-9). Contractors are not eligible for employee benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement plans.
