SummaryThe Chemistry Tutor works directly with students, either one‑on‑one or in small group sessions, aiming to foster independent learning and help students achieve their academic goals.
Responsibilities- Supports the department’s goal of providing supplemental academic support by providing one‑on‑one and small group tutoring.
- Provides subject‑specific content strategies, tailored to different learning styles.
- Assists with the use of equipment and learning materials needed for student success.
- Conducts “class visits” and promotes the College’s tutoring services.
- Maintains accurate records and completes required paperwork by stated deadlines.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of departmental instructional materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Education consistent with the department needs – minimum of an associate’s degree in a related field.
- Knowledge from courses such as Intro to Inorganic Chemistry, Intro to Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, and General Chemistry.

This is a part‑time non‑bargaining unit position with a set rate of $18.03 per hour.
