Job Description:
SUMMARY
The 10,000 Small Businesses initiative is part of a national effort to support small business growth and job creation. It combines education, business support services, and access to capital, delivered through community college partners and partnerships with local CDFIs or non-profit lenders.
A 10,000 Small Businesses Module Instructor brings expertise, is committed to innovative, experiential teaching, and focuses on community engagement and program outcomes such as job creation and revenue growth.
This session helps participants understand financial statements and interpret key numbers, preparing them for Module 3, which focuses on developing and forecasting financial statements for business growth.
Module 3:
Money and Metrics
Build on financial fundamentals to assess and forecast business growth
Participants analyze their financial data, develop strategies, and plan for growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepares and delivers engaging learning activities to meet course outcomes
- Creates course materials like syllabi and handouts
- Evaluates and grades student work
- Maintains accurate attendance and grade records
- Provides coaching and support to students
- Participates in planning and review meetings
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
- At least three years of experience in business consulting, management, or small business operations
- Experience in curriculum development and small business engagement
- Teaching experience or equivalent
- Expertise in adult learning and facilitation techniques

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Normal office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation

Compensation: This is a non-bargaining part-time position at $65.00/hour.
Residency Requirement: Must reside in Ohio and be within commuting distance of the campus.
