Join Our Elementary Teaching Team! Birch Agency is seeking a motivated and student-focused Elementary School Teacher for a combined 2nd and 3rd Grade classroom in Cleveland, Ohio, for the school year. The classroom features a relatively small class size of approximately 12 students, currently consisting of 8 second graders and 4 third graders. This setting provides an opportunity to deliver differentiated instruction, support individual learning goals, and help students build strong academic foundations.
Responsibilities- Develop and deliver lessons appropriate for students in 2nd and 3rd Grade.
- Teach core subjects, including English language arts, reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
- Differentiate lessons to accommodate varying grade levels and student abilities.
- Maintain a structured, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Assess student performance and adjust instruction to support academic growth.
- Follow curriculum requirements and align instruction with Ohio Learning Standards.
- Schedule & Classroom Details Monday Friday, 7: 00 AM 3: 30 PM.
- Approximately 12 students in the classroom.
- Dedicated 30-minute lunch break and 30-minute planning period.
- Mandatory professional development days, typically 8: 00 AM 4: 00 PM.
- Valid Ohio teaching license or applicable substitute teaching license, or the ability to renew an existing license, as appropriate for the position.
- Previous elementary classroom teaching experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Ohio Learning Standards for elementary education preferred.
- Experience teaching multiple subjects across grades K 5 is a plus.
