Monitoring, Control and Compliance, Inc. (MCC) is a privately owned small business providing services to the solid waste industry. Founded by a former landfill gas technician in 2005, the company grew from two employees to approximately 65 employees using a controlled growth strategy.
MCC focuses on the operation and maintenance of landfill gas systems that help reduce methane emissions and provide a green energy source for our client’s end-users.

- Provide operations and maintenance services for landfill gas collection systems to ensure maximum efficiency and compliant operation.
- Conduct routine on‑site monitoring of system operations for compliance deadlines and contractual requirements, and troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions.
- Work independently while communicating with supervisors and clients to ensure project success.
- Document daily activities, coordinate, communicate, and verify corrective actions to maintain continuous compliance.
- Follow all company and project safety policies and procedures; use required personal protective equipment at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the company truck, all‑terrain vehicle, and work areas.
- Be available for after‑hours call‑outs as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
- Proficient use of Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Adobe).
- Maintain daily logs and obtain readings in accordance with prescribed standards.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, including safe use of hand tools.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to operate all‑terrain vehicles in varying conditions.
- Professional communication skills.
- Problem‑solving skills with the ability to handle a variety of variables.
- Organized self‑starter with initiative.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Pass pre‑employment, random drug screens, background check, and motor vehicle records check.
- Previous landfill gas system operation experience or education.
- Knowledge of environmental sampling techniques.
- Current OSHA 40‑hr HAZWOPER certification.
- Pipe fusion certificate.
- Knowledge of basic math, gas chemistry, piping, and instrumentation drawings.
- Electrical, chemical, and mechanical experience.
- Ability to work outdoors year‑round in rugged terrain.
- 100% outside work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to walk long distances, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Use of personal protective equipment required daily.
- Able to travel overnight up to 30 % of the time.
