Bridge Engineer III

Overview

We are seeking a Bridge Engineer III to deliver bridge projects in Ohio. As a top design partner with ODOT, we are growing our bridge team to continue delivering their program. • Complete assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Assist in the development of project specifications.
• Develop discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
• Aid in coordinating and improving productivity of project team members.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering team members.
• Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Perform quality control reviews of discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
• Assist with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within the discipline.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or
• PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience

• Optimizing work processes by using knowledge of the most effective and efficient ways to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Independently progresses the majority of designs and tasks required of the discipline.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and Micro Station and/or Auto Cad.
• Thorough understanding of the application related to engineering, geometric and algebraic principles.
• Managing time, proactively forecasting, and communicating project development needs.

• Master’s degree in Engineering
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification
• American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification (depending on discipline)
• Knowledgeable in Microstation and Open Roads Designer software
• Knowledgeable in structural/bridge analysis and design software such as CSI Bridge, LARSA, FB Multi Pier, LPile, MDX, Open Bridge Designer and other software

The approximate pay range for Ohio is $81,339.98 - $. This pay range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting and actual compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
