PositionWe are currently seeking a passionate and driven Entry Level Roadway Engineer to join our growing team in Dayton or Cleveland Ohio. This is a full-time opportunity designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is excited to launch their engineering career in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Pay: $65,000 - $85,000/year based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.
Entry Level Roadway Engineer – Essential Functions- Perform roadway engineering design tasks for transportation projects from preliminary to final design.
- Provide engineering design services for traditional design-bid-build projects and design-build transportation projects.
- Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed engineering drawings and plans for roadway projects.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including specifications and cost estimates, to facilitate the implementation of roadway projects.
- Work with senior engineers and other team members to ensure effective communication, coordination, and progress of roadway projects.
- Stay updated on relevant transportation engineering codes, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines.
- Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
- Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively in team settings.
- Ability to meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a project site.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Preferred: EIT Certification
Qualifications:
- Required: 1+ years of roadway design experience
- Required: Experience working with Municipal or State DOTs.
- Preferred: Micro Station, GEOPAK or Open Roads software experience.
