Job SummaryNew Engineering Graduates Needed – Join CSA Group’s Graduate Development Program!
We invite recent and anticipated graduates for the Product Safety Engineer role in our Cleveland laboratory. In this role you will work on challenging projects to test and certify new and emerging products before they hit the market, gaining the technical and project‑management skills required to become a Product Safety Engineer.
The target start date for the Graduate Development Program is May 2026.
Responsibilities- Be curious and eager to learn new technologies while applying basic electrical theory.
- Think outside the box to apply efficient methods for testing and certification tasks.
- Work closely with Certification Managers to complete training.
- Manage certification projects with a mentor, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety requirements.
- Evaluate products against national standards and guidelines.
- Job shadow Product Safety Engineers and Laboratory Technicians to meet training requirements.
- Review test data and reports, demonstrating understanding of technical requirements to support the CSA Mark application.
- Compile subsequent certification reports.
- Keep Managers informed of project status, highlighting progress and findings.
- Interpret test results correctly.
- New or recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving ability.
- Detail‑oriented.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and project‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Unsupervised work capability in a team‑based environment.
- Self‑motivated and client‑service oriented.
