Mechanical Project Engineer

Overview

Mechanical Project Engineer role raw Kokosing is a leading industrial maintenance contractor based in Middletown, OH, with capabilities including off-site manufacturing and assembly, pipe fabrication and installation, electrical and instrumentation, structural steel erection, rigging, and equipment setting. We serve industries such as steel, power, oil and gas, data center, and food and beverage, providing services like planned plant outages, emergency maintenance, and capital improvement projects for new and existing facilities.

Our preconstruction services include risk assessments, budget validation, and 3D modeling.

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities, including planning procurement, design review, project controls, and work assignments.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the overall construction schedule.
• Prepare documents to obtain quotes from vendors for material, equipment, and other items.
• Track material deliveries and interface with departments and internal staff on budgeting, staffing, discipline, training/development, scheduling, and related activities.
• Review engineering plans and vendor submittals.
• Monitor crew assignments to meet productivity goals.
• Conduct field walks and spot checks of work being performed.
• Ensure compliance with county, state, and OSHA policies and regulations.

• 2+ years in a similar construction Project Engineer role.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.

• Understand, interpret, and apply safety laws and company policies/standards.
• Apply innovative management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Build trust and achieve results with clients and team members.
• Read drawings and interpret work specifications and scopes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong work ethic and teamwork to deliver high-quality results.
