PositionFull‑time Structural Engineer – Responsible for bridge and highway structure projects from concept through final design. This role offers leadership, mentoring, and tangible impact on transportation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design and analyze highway structures and bridges, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all standards.
- Conduct field inspections of transportation structures and bridges to assess condition and provide technical recommendations.
- Prepare engineering deliverables, including reports, plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E), and calculations while monitoring work for adherence to applicable codes.
- Lead projects or disciplines, acting as the project engineer or lead for bridge projects while mentoring junior engineers and technicians.
- Collaborate across teams, partnering with survey, geotechnical, and transportation staff to deliver integrated solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience with structural engineering, including bridge work
- PE required
- Experience with bridge design and analysis, ODOT experience a plus
- Experience working in STAAD‑Pro, MDX, and Leap Bridge Designer;
Midas Civil experience a plus - Knowledge of Bridge and Culvert Manual, AASHTO, AISC, ACI, IBC, and ASCE 7 specifications
