We’re seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead the design, programming, and implementation of automation and control systems across multiple industries. This role offers broad technical variety, end-to-end project ownership, and the option to incorporate business development responsibilities for those interested in a hybrid technical/commercial path.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, program, and troubleshoot industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, drives, instrumentation, and control panels.
Create, read, and edit logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, single-line drawings, and P&IDs.
Develop PLC programs from scratch—primarily Allen-Bradley (Micro Logix, Control Logix, Compact Logix) and Panel View HMI systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in automated equipment; perform repairs and refurbish PLC modules, HMIs, and related components.
Lead or assist with on-site system start-up, commissioning, testing, and problem resolution.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate process and control design throughout the full project lifecycle.
2+ years of PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley or Siemens), including building programs from the ground up.
2+ years of experience programming Factory Talk / Panel View applications.
Hands‑on experience with site commissioning and start‑up of control systems.
Strong background in process controls preferred.
Ability to perform full‑cycle controls engineering: electrical drawings, panel design, PLC/HMI programming, and field commissioning.
