LabVIEW Engineer

TRC is seeking an experienced LabVIEW Engineer to work as a technical lead and team mentor with one of our growing system integrator clients based in Cleveland, OH. This role is a direct hire, onsite position.

Works directly with customers to define functional requirements and design, configure, commission, and qualify software solutions.

• Primary focus on automation of Test Systems and R&D systems.
• Collaborate with customers to gather system requirements and design system functionality.
• Design applications using LVOOP and the Actor Framework (or equivalent).
• Develop and modify complex LabVIEW applications that use LVOOP and design patterns such as Actor Framework, DQMH, or similar.
• Design and develop SQL scripts for SQLite, Microsoft SQL, or MySQL databases.
• Design electrical control panels and instrument wiring diagrams.
• Commission systems at customers’ sites.
• Train and mentor new engineers.

• At least 5 years of designing and architecting LabVIEW applications using Actor Framework or an equivalent design pattern.
• Certified LabVIEW Architect or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience with NI Real-Time programming for embedded targets (cRIO, PXIe).
• Ability to interact with mechanical designers and provide suggestions.
• Experience with robotics and vision inspection systems.
