Oakwood Laboratories is a privately owned specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the design, development and commercial manufacture of sterile injectable sustained release pharmaceuticals. These products deliver therapeutic levels to patients over days, weeks, months or even years with a single intramuscular or subcutaneous injection and have extremely high commercial potential.

• Formulate batches in a laboratory and pilot plant setting, using complex manufacturing processes to design and improve microsphere products
• Develop and optimize new innovative processes and technologies for use in formulation development and manufacturing
• Present analyses and recommendations in product development team meetings
• Collaborate with team members from multiple departments within the company and with external clients to achieve project and company goals
• Work in an FDA-regulated environment and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• Bachelor of Science, Master’s, or PhD in Biomedical or Chemical Engineering or closely related science field with chemistry and mathematics coursework
• Basic lab skill obtained from college science labs, internships, or one year of industry experience
• Desire to learn and grow within a team‑oriented environment
• Good documentation and written and oral communication skills
• Time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently to meet company deadlines
