Civil​/Process Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Staff Civil/Process Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Business Line in Akron, OH, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.

• Use Arcadis standards and specifications for water/wastewater design and construction projects.
• Design and provide construction support for water/wastewater treatment plants, stormwater systems, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations.
• Assist in the creation of construction documents and specifications and oversee the work of CAD staff.
• Meet established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment; manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Engage with clients to understand needs and provide practical solutions.
• Coordinate project execution with other engineering disciplines and office personnel.
• Develop design projects from inception to completion and prepare construction packages for engineering, procurement, and construction of water/wastewater systems for clients.
• Create cost estimates and project schedules and perform detailed engineering calculations using design software to solve complex challenges.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in water/wastewater/recycled water facilities design and construction support.

• Strong, clear written and oral communication skills with excellent technical writing abilities. Client relationship skills are a plus. Proficient with MS Office.
• Experience preparing and reviewing project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.

• Current PE License in Ohio, or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Task Lead, Task Manager, or Design Lead experience on water/wastewater projects of various sizes.

The salary range for this position is $70,800 - $106,200; actual salaries vary based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, and location.
