An innovative space technology company is seeking a skilled Program Manager to lead and execute complex programs from inception to completion.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities to oversee technical teams, manage project scope and budgets, and drive successful program outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace, defense, or related industries, with a strong background in managing hardware development programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full program lifecycle, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and performance goals.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks while proactively addressing scope changes.
- Implement best practices in program management to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to achieve program milestones.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring program requirements are met.
- Support the development of compelling program proposals in collaboration with technical and financial teams.
- Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and performance oversight.
- Contribute to the evolution and continuous improvement of program management processes.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, or Business.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program/project management, systems engineering, or product development.
- Proven experience managing hardware development programs, including design, testing, and production.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience working with both government and commercial aerospace customers.
- Familiarity with launch vehicles, satellite systems, and/or payload development.
