Position OverviewMcNally Tunneling Corporation is seeking an entry-level engineering graduate for a Field Engineer position. While working on a tunnel project site in Cleveland, Ohio, the primary responsibility for this position is to collaborate with and support the project engineering staff. This may include engineering temporary works, AutoCAD drafting, assisting project surveyors, preparing daily and weekly reports, project changes, subcontractor management, scheduling, submittals, and materials procurement.

LocationCleveland, Ohio.
Responsibilities- Analyze collected data to monitor production and modify as necessary to achieve maximum production.
- Plan and develop work plans for project related operations.
- Coordinate operational survey needs with survey department.
- Provide daily support and coordinate with craft supervision.
- Coordinate the procurement of temporary or permanent materials as assigned by the Project Engineer.
- Coordinate and undertake planning and implementation of construction activities, as assigned by the Project Engineer or Superintendent(s).
- Assist with environmental monitoring as needed.
- Assist in the generation of daily reports and assembly and maintenance of proper job records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Construction Management disciplines considered).
- Ability to prioritize and handle deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office;
AutoCAD and Primavera P6 scheduling program is a plus. - Fluent use of verbal and written English.
- Ability to accurately read contract drawings.
- Previous internship or experience in a construction setting is a plus.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Work productively and meet deadlines.
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
- Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
- May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
