Systems Engineering Technician at Tektronix
The role supports the configuration, integration, and maintenance of complex systems, including the S530 and S500 platforms. The position ensures system performance, compliance, and reliability through hands‑on technical work, diagnostics, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams to support production builds. It reports directly to the NPI Technicians Manager.
Primary FunctionThe primary duty is to maintain the operational integrity of the S530 and S500 systems, performing firmware updates, diagnostics, and integration tests while documenting results and corrective actions.
Duties- Demonstrate technical proficiency in S530 and S500 systems, including setup, calibration, and optimization.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software for S530 and S500 units.
- Perform firmware updates and execute system diagnostics.
- Interpret and resolve system error codes and alerts.
- Conduct system integration and performance tests; document results and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project management teams to meet system requirements and timelines, including support for production builds.
- Provide technician support to the engineering team on system-related NPI activities.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for system improvements and process enhancements.
- Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and system documentation.
- Apply safe handling and installation practices for electrical components.
- Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to stakeholders.
- Participate in training sessions and stay current on system advancements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Execute installation and integration of S530 and S500 systems in production and test environments.
- Support operations builds and troubleshoot S530 and S500 systems.
- Perform calibration and optimization to meet performance specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic components, including soldering and component replacement.
- Work closely with operations teams to resolve system‑related issues during manufacturing.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Hands‑on experience with S530 and S500 systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation.
- Familiarity with network integration and connectivity protocols.
- Basic soldering and component‑level repair skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities, including cross‑functional collaboration with operations teams.
- Commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance.

The salary range for this position (local currency): 52,200.00 – 96,900.00.
