Element has an opportunity for a Metallurgist whose primary responsibility is to safely perform tests and report testing evaluations. Work is to be performed in accordance with established QA procedures.

Salary: $70K-$85K/yr

• Prepare and operate all equipment necessary to perform testing in the Metallurgical Lab
• Performs daily verifications and adjusts equipment baselines accordingly
• Performs standard and non-standard metallurgical evaluations
• Maintains testing equipment for operation and performs routine housekeeping tasks associated with the area(s) trouble shooting as necessary.
• Insures that ample supplies are available for operation of testing area
• As needed, interface with clients on matters of concern/interest
• Other duties as required

• Degree/Diploma in Metallurgy or related discipline
• 2-4 years of experience working in a laboratory in the field of metallurgy testing
• Good knowledge on international standards and codes
• Excellent report writing skill
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated team playing with excellent organisational and communication skills

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.
