Overview

Responsible for providing efficient guest service to all Slot guests and ensuring slot machines are monitored on a continual basis for operation at maximum efficiency. Actively patrols assigned sections to surprise and delight guests and creates a fun, high-energy environment around slot wins.

Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient guest service to all Slot guests and monitor slot machines for maximum operational efficiency.
  • Patrol assigned sections to identify opportunities to surprise and delight guests.
  • Enhance guests’ slot entertainment experience by creating a fun, high-energy environment during slot wins and building players’ perception of luck.
  • Demonstrate attentive, upbeat, and enthusiastic behavior during all guest interactions.
  • Develop customer loyalty through unparalleled guest interactions as directed by company initiatives.
  • Clearly communicate functionality of the Slot Floor (e.g., Fast Cash - ticket in/ticket out).
  • Respond to service requests in the correct order, including slot dispatch, candle lights, radio calls, and customer needs while meeting or exceeding department standards.
  • Verify and countersign hand-paid jackpots.
  • Resolve guest complaints using Service Recovery with urgency and empathy within approved authority levels.
  • Keep slot areas clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Correct minor machine malfunctions (e.g., coin jams, printer errors, bill validators, slot light repairs).
  • Participate in slot machine upgrades and implement new initiatives.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies and ensure gaming licenses are valid and up-to-date.
  • Maintain monetary and paperwork accuracy within department standards.
  • Accurately pay jackpots; conduct buy-in transactions with slot players; count down and reconcile bank/wallet at end of shift.
  • Promote and cross-sell JACK’s brand amenities and property events; stay informed of promotional events and services.
  • Maintain in-depth game knowledge and proactively explain games to customers.
  • Participate in team pre-shift sessions to exchange information on property events and improve guest service and survey scores.
  • Act in accordance with JACK Entertainment’s Code of Conduct and uphold business objectives, ethics, and values.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote property-wide initiatives and programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods (4 hours).
  • Must respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling conflicts.
  • Must be able to maneuver through all areas of the property (stairs or escalator; minimum 20 steps).
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling.
  • Respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Must tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
  • Must work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.
  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous money handling experience preferred.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional days and hours.
  • Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry; stand, walk, and maneuver around casino slot area for long periods.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel and twist; tolerate bright lights and high noise levels.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Ability to obtain a Gaming Occupational License within the State of Ohio.
