Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Vice President, Finance Hospitals, the Finance Manager will be responsible for providing full financial analytics to the VP and other members of the leadership team related to financial statements, product and service lines, business units, capital purchase prioritization, return on investments and lease/buy decisions.
- Financial Analysis, Critical Thinking, Decision-Making Skills, Communication, General Accounting knowledge. This can be a fast-paced environment so need to be able to prioritize.
- Supports the VP in their role as a business consultant to management on financial issues related to the entity as a whole and/or individual departments, product and service lines, physician integration and business development strategies, and short- and long-term financial planning.
- This position is responsible for analysis of financial and statistical operating financial performance, forecasts, annual budgeting and strategic planning.
- Additional responsibilities include technical support and analysis of the annual operating budget, including but not limited to volume and staffing projections, challenging departments’ projections and related revenue and expense estimates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related business discipline.
- Healthcare / Hospital experience is strongly preferred.
- Good analytical, communication and organizational skills.
- Strong budget and analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer/hospital business needs and translate them into operational requirements.
- Comfortable in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressure.
