Senior Financial Analyst

We have a challenging opportunity for a detail‑oriented and experienced Senior Financial Analyst. This role will participate in SEC reporting, month‑end close processes, audit coordination, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial statements, internal controls, and public company reporting requirements. This position will be located in Brooklyn Heights, OH.
Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of the 10‑Q, 10‑K, 8‑K, and other SEC filings, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of XBRL tagging for financial filings.
- Monitor and implement new accounting standards (ASC updates, SEC rules, and FASB guidance).
- Participate in the month‑end financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Support variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance.
- Act as a key liaison for external auditors, coordinating audit requests and documentation.
- Assist with quarterly and annual audit processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, Big 4 or public accounting experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX compliance, and financial reporting requirements.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience with Workiva, Longview consolidation software and/or JDE ERP.
- Knowledge of XBRL tagging and SEC filing requirements.
