A law firm seeks a tax associate to join its Affordable Housing and Tax Credit Team in Cleveland, Ohio. This position offers a unique opportunity for a lateral associate to be part of an expanding team dedicated to client service. The role involves working with both for-profit and nonprofit developers on affordable multifamily housing projects across the United States.
Duties- Represent clients in the development, acquisition, and construction of affordable housing.
- Engage in the rehabilitation, operation, and sale of multifamily housing projects.
- Utilize federal, state, and local affordable housing programs effectively.
- Experience in partnership tax and federal income tax credits preferred.
- Member in good standing of any state bar.
- LLM in Taxation preferred.
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
- Paid time off.
