Job DescriptionPosition Title: Staff Accountant
Supervisor: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
FLSA status: Exempt
- Full cycle AR – create invoices by applying payments/credits
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Support AP in month‑end process
- Banking (cash deposits, live checks via check scanner)
- Journal entry preparation
- Payroll preparation
- Collection / code / file client rent payments
- Monitor bus pass program
- Review AP check run for CFO & CEO final review
- Count client monies alongside AP (checks & balances)
- Attend weekly accounting meetings with AP and CFO
- Work closely with CFO on month‑end closing and financial statement preparation
- All other duties as assigned by CFO
- Journal entries
- Payroll
- Full cycle AR
- Reconciliation of bank statements
- Organizational & filing
- 3 years of AR experience
- 3 years of journal entry/reconciliation experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Management
- 3‑5 years of on‑the‑job experience
Full-time Salary: $52,800.00 – $56,000.00 per year based on experience
