Tax Director

Overview

We are looking for a Tax Director to work for our Cleveland client. The ideal candidate will align with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

• Build and strengthen working relationships and scale with the growth of business teams to ensure integration with various business functions, bring tax awareness, and champion tax requirements
• Research and monitor issues and changes in US Federal, State, and Local income tax law and regulations, and prepare technical memoranda to support tax accounting positions
• Provide strategic guidance on income, withholding, sales, use, and property taxes
• Responsible for continuous improvements through recommending and implementing efficient and effective processes
• Strategic partner with the business to minimize global income tax and withholding exposures
• Ensure that the Company s tax accounting processes, documentation, and related systems are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley s internal control requirements
• Drive relationships with stakeholders, including all top management, cross-functional teams, business units, and external parties

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8+ years of progressive tax experience
• Strong experience working with and knowledge of State and Local tax jurisdictions
• Demonstrated competency in executing strategic plans
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP tax accounting
• Dynamic interpersonal and presentation skills to gain respect and trust from staff, customers, vendors, and key stakeholders
