Finance and Loan Assistant – People Architects (Cleveland, OH)

Base pay range: $24.00/hr - $26.00/hr

Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and processing/recording business and financial transactions.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial and loan records.
  • Post receipts, disbursements, and other transactions to ensure integrity of controls and timely and accurate completion of monthly account reconciliations.
  • Working knowledge of, and/or previous experience in commercial mortgage banking and loan servicing procedures.
  • Review and track commercial loan documents, ensuring delivery of original documents (promissory note, deed of trust, final ALTA policy, hazard insurance) for upload to Network.
  • Organize invoices, payments, loan records and monitor accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe, Loan Processing software and other Web‑based programs; experience with Net Suite highly desirable.
  • Maintain servicing of new loans on mortgage accounting software, posting payments, disbursements, and updating account records.
  • Develop understanding of church building loans vs commercial loans, tailoring products/services to church borrowers.
  • Communicate clearly with operating management, financial staff and other departments.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business (or equivalent experience in commercial mortgage lending and loan servicing).
  • Clear understanding and willingness to learn nuances of church building loans.
  • Strong work ethic, urgency and flexibility in scheduling.
  • Self‑starter who can handle multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and remain motivated.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, proofreading and editing skills.
  • Collaboration skills and respect for confidentiality.
  • Experience working within diverse racial, ethnic, cultural and religious settings.
