. The role involves conducting Compensation & Pension (C&P) Examinations for Veterans applying for disability compensation from the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).

Pay:
Base + Monthly Incentive = $ - $ per year.

• Conduct comprehensive medical disability examinations, including reviewing medical history, performing physical examinations, and assessing the impact of disabilities on daily life.
• Review and analyze medical records and diagnostic test results.
• Render objective medical opinions regarding the extent of the veteran's health issues and their impact on working ability.
• Work within the case management system, submit examination findings, and correspond with the Quality Assurance team.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, specialists, and experts to obtain additional medical information.
• Accurately document examination findings and recommendations in clear, concise reports following VA guidelines.
• Partner with Loyal Source departments to gain support and use resources to meet deadlines.
• Effectively manage time, confirm availability, and schedule C&P exams.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and VA standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance.

• Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Valid and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the United States.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Preferred:
  Experience in medical disability examinations or related field.
• Basic Life Support certification, including renewals.
• Preferred:
  Previous military experience or familiarity with veteran communities.
• Completion of specialized training or continuing education in Medical Disability Evaluations, occupational health, or related areas.
• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive medical assessments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating evidence-based medical opinions.

Apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions and manage problems involving a few variables.

Competent in MS Word, MS Outlook, Adobe PDF, web-based platforms, electronic medical record systems. Familiarity with Teams and web-based instructional systems preferred.

Prolonged periods standing and sitting at a desk, working on a computer; lift up to 15 pounds; ability to see, hear, smell, bend, stretch, and range of motion to conduct physical examinations.

5%–10% travel to support other clinics; additional travel for required training or company events.

Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM standard schedule.
