. The role involves conducting Compensation & Pension (C&P) Examinations for Veterans applying for disability compensation from the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).
Pay:
Base + Monthly Incentive = $ - $ per year.
- Conduct comprehensive medical disability examinations, including reviewing medical history, performing physical examinations, and assessing the impact of disabilities on daily life.
- Review and analyze medical records and diagnostic test results.
- Render objective medical opinions regarding the extent of the veteran's health issues and their impact on working ability.
- Work within the case management system, submit examination findings, and correspond with the Quality Assurance team.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, specialists, and experts to obtain additional medical information.
- Accurately document examination findings and recommendations in clear, concise reports following VA guidelines.
- Partner with Loyal Source departments to gain support and use resources to meet deadlines.
- Effectively manage time, confirm availability, and schedule C&P exams.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and VA standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance.
- Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Valid and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the United States.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
- Preferred:
Experience in medical disability examinations or related field. - Basic Life Support certification, including renewals.
- Preferred:
Previous military experience or familiarity with veteran communities. - Completion of specialized training or continuing education in Medical Disability Evaluations, occupational health, or related areas.
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive medical assessments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating evidence-based medical opinions.

- Authorized to work in the United States and meet federal contractor requirements.
Apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions and manage problems involving a few variables.
Technological AbilityCompetent in MS Word, MS Outlook, Adobe PDF, web-based platforms, electronic medical record systems. Familiarity with Teams and web-based instructional systems preferred.
Physical RequirementsProlonged periods standing and sitting at a desk, working on a computer; lift up to 15 pounds; ability to see, hear, smell, bend, stretch, and range of motion to conduct physical examinations.
Travel Requirements5%–10% travel to support other clinics; additional travel for required training or company events.
Schedule RequirementsMonday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM standard schedule.
