The Director of Dietary Services provides strategic leadership and oversight of the company’s dietary and nutrition programs across all skilled nursing centers. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while promoting excellence in food service, resident satisfaction, and nutritional care. The Director develops standardized menus, policies, and training programs to support quality, cost control, and operational efficiency throughout all centers.

• Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide dietary policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to center Dietary Managers and team members to ensure consistent compliance and service excellence.
• Oversee menu planning, nutritional analysis, and meal preparation processes to meet resident needs and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with state survey standards, sanitation requirements, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with clinical, operations, and nursing teams to align dietary programs with resident care plans and wellness initiatives.
• Manage vendor relationships, purchasing, and food cost control initiatives.
• Review and respond to resident satisfaction feedback and implement service improvements.
• Support center openings, acquisitions, and transitions by assessing dietary operations and providing onboarding and training.

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Service Management, or a related field required;
  Registered Dietitian (RD) or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive dietary leadership experience, preferably within skilled nursing, senior living, or healthcare.
• In-depth knowledge of state and federal dietary regulations (CMS, FDA, local health departments).
• Proven experience in team development, quality improvement, and operational management across multiple centers.
• Strong budgeting, cost control, and vendor management experience.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment.
• Proficiency in dietary software, menu planning, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Commitment to resident‑centered care, hospitality, and service excellence.
• Ability to interpret and apply nutritional and regulatory standards effectively.
• Sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
