Orthopedic Technician - Orthopedic Office
Location: 1 Park West Blvd, Suite 330, Akron, OH 44320.
Schedule: Full‑Time, Monday – Friday.
Benefits Eligible.
Responsibilities- Assists physicians in all aspects of an Orthopedic/Sports Medicine medical office.
- Assist with casting, splinting, durable medical equipment (DME), and general patient and surgical care.
- Help in procedure and general maintenance of equipment, supplies, and exam rooms.
- Formal
Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent - Certification: Orthopedic Technologist Certification preferred
- Experience and Training
Required:
One year PTA, OTA, Exercise Physiology, Medical Assistant with Orthopedic/Sports Medicine experience in lieu of Ortho Tech Certification. - Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Basic computer skill.
- Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self‑respect and dignity.
- Physical Demands: Light – Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to ten pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, stoop and lift.
- Must have the dexterity to use clinical instruments and equipment.
- Must be able to operate basic office equipment.

Compensation$21.54/hr – $25.86/hr (base salary, exclusive of bonuses or differentials).
