Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients undergoing interventional cardiology and endovascular procedures in a busy cardiac catheterization laboratory. This role demands precision, technical expertise, and the ability to respond rapidly to STEMI calls with a 30‑minute response time. You will support patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management, contributing to optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive care to patients in the invasive cardiology cath lab environment.
- Manage preoperative and postoperative patient monitoring and sedation.
- Operate and monitor advanced hemodynamic devices, including IABP and IMPELLA.
- Perform ventilator management and respond promptly to STEMI call assignments.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of patient safety and care.
- Utilize electronic health records systems such as EPIC, XPER, and Change Healthcare for accurate documentation.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
- Proven experience in a cardiac cath lab with preoperative and postoperative nursing skills.
- Proficiency in advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
- Current ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to respond efficiently to emergency STEMI situations.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient mobility.
