Job SummaryThe Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Division of Audiology at Metro Health Medical Center (MHMC) located in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking applications for a full-time Clinical Audiologist.
Evaluate and treat patients with auditory and vestibular disorders using a variety of evidence based objective diagnostic tests. Provide diagnostic, habilitative, and rehabilitative services to patients ranging from neonates through the geriatric population of various cognitive levels and from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Qualifications- Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) degree from an accredited University program
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of Ohio.
- Certified or become eligible for certification by the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association within 1 year of hire.
- Administer and interpret age-appropriate diagnostic audio logic assessments to all populations across the lifespan. Provide comprehensive diagnostic statements and recommendations that identify nature and degree of impairment to assist with medical decision making.
- Proficiency with electrophysiologic tests including A , ASSR, DPOAE, VNG, VHIT
- Perform electrophysiologic tests in the OR and under physician supervised sedations for special needs populations.
- Maintain current and progressive technological skills required to select, dispense and manage technologically advanced digital processors and accessory devices.
- Supervise, coordinate, and implement state mandated Joint Commission on Infant Hearing Protocols (JCIH) for early detection and intervention of newborns and neonates.
- Experience with electronic medical records utilizing EPIC, Teams, Excel
- Active interest in participating as part of a team, working closely with ENT and across the Metro Health system.
