Details

Compensation
:
Hourly base pay range $15–$17 per hour plus daily cash tips.

Work Schedule
:
Monday through Friday – no weekends.
Three (3) shifts are available: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Benefits
:

Eligibility depends on classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for listed benefits.

Summary

The Guest Service Associate (Valet Driver) is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Duties include parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely, assisting with luggage and other needs during arrival and departure, and interacting with guests using professional etiquette.

Essential Functions (Percent of Time)
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients – 25%
  • Use appropriate salutation and welcome guests – 10%
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists with bell services and luggage storage – 20%
  • Provides directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; delivers messages, items, and guest amenities – 10%
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; handles claim checks and reports; calculates revenue – 35%
  • Total amount of time for all functions – 100%
Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED.

Licensure & Certification

  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment, or within commuting distance of the state.

Work Experience

  • One (1) month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge

  • Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

Skills

  • Read, write, and understand standard English language.
  • Follow simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Write simple correspondence.
  • Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
  • Perform basic math using units of American money (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Understand 24‑hour and military time systems.
  • Understand rate calculations based on time passed.
  • Operate a manual transmission (highly desirable).
  • Perform parallel parking.
Authority To Act

Job is fairly routine; follows established practices and procedures. Duties performed with specific direction and frequent verification. Decisions within operational instructions and departmental guidelines.

Budget Responsibility

Employee has control over only the resources available.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Employee is required to talk or hear regularly; often sit or stand for extended periods; may run, walk, and maneuver objects; use hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; exercise vision and lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Work is performed outdoors for extended periods, subject to extreme heat and cold. Protection from weather conditions may be provided.

Travel of up to 5% may be required.
