Lead EVS Attendant

Position Summary

Reporting to the EVS Supervisor, the EVS Lead ensures that FOH (front of house) guest areas and BOH (back of house) team members’ areas are maintained clean and professional, assisting the shift supervisor or manager to provide prompt, courteous service throughout the racino property and adhere to all JACK Entertainment standards.

• Work in cooperation with the supervisor on all cleaning issues and programs.
• Ensure that the EVS shop office and storage areas are cleaned and maintained daily, with proper guest supply stock.
• Actively participate with staff to complete assigned duties and provide visible support.
• Ensure team members follow department training and safety procedures.
• Communicate or coordinate any special instructions or guest/department requests with the shift supervisor.
• Help shift supervisor coordinate and prioritize racino cleaning requirements; assist with procedures and training of special projects team members and inspect work done.
• Assist with safety talks, training talks and pre‑shift huddles.
• Ensure key security is followed and all equipment is properly signed in/out by staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Work independently.
• Sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (minimum 4 hours).
• Respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts.
• Maneuver throughout all areas of the property, including stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.; ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
• Respond to visual and audible cues.
• Operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
• Tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.
• Work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Speak distinctly and persuasively.
• Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Read, write, speak and understand the English language for reports and communication.
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, staff, guests and the general public.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous lead or supervisor experience in a commercial cleaning environment preferred.
• Two to three years’ experience in a commercial cleaning environment required.
• Knowledge of proper and safe operation of extractors, burnishers, vacuums, auto‑scrubbers, power washers, ride‑on vacuums and carpet cleaning machines.
• Basic computer skills.
• Team player; flexible shift work including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
• Some knowledge of proper chemical usage preferred.
• Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to departmental and company policies.
• Must be 21 years of age.

• Obtain Ohio Lottery Commission license.
