Governance Data Analyst Jr​/Mid

We are seeking a junior to mid-level Governance Data Analyst to support enterprise data governance initiatives. This role involves collaborating with business and technical teams to align data definitions, improve data quality, and maintain governance documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement experience, and proficiency in SQL.

• Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on data usage and definitions.
• Lead terminology alignment workshops and standardize taxonomy across business units.
• Gather requirements related to data quality, lineage, and definitions.
• Create and maintain governance documentation including business glossaries, metadata, and data quality rules.
• Collaborate with data architects and engineers on enterprise data models.
• Perform SQL-based data profiling to validate and reconcile understanding with actual datasets.
• Participate in governance councils to contribute to policy and standards development.
• Act as a data steward for key business domains and ensure documentation remains current.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Data Governance or Business/Data Analyst roles.
• Experience working in multi-tiered environments, preferably involving Product, Customer, or Worker data.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and data validation.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts (relational, dimensional) and metadata tools.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with metadata management tools and enterprise data governance platforms.
