• Marketing AI Institute: Media, event and education business founded in 2016 that is designed to make AI approachable and actionable for marketers. The Institute has more than 90,000 contacts, and its flagship in-person conference, MAICON, draws 1,000+ marketers to Cleveland each year.
• AI Academy by Smarter
  
  X: Originally launched in 2020 under the Marketing AI Institute brand, AI Academy is being spun off as a dedicated site and brand. AI Academy is a high-growth business unit designed to prepare individuals and organizations for the future of work by making AI education accessible and personalized.
• The Artificial Intelligence Show: The podcast is Smarter
  
  X’s fastest growing media channel with 65,000+ downloads per month. The podcast serves as a promotional tool and lead generator for Smarter
  
  X and its business units.

Smarter

X also has an internal AI Content Studio that supports audience growth, demand generation, and customer success across all brands / business units. The AI Content Studio produces blog posts, books, blueprints, courses, newsletters, podcasts, presentations, research, videos and webinars.

The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring business processes run smoothly, and implementing systems that enhance productivity and scalability.

This role will work closely with the COO and cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, enhance financial and resource planning, and optimize technology systems. The Director of Operations will play a key role in ensuring seamless execution across media, events, education, and consulting functions.

• Oversee and optimize business operations to ensure seamless execution across all business units.
• Identify process improvements and implement scalable, AI-driven solutions to enhance productivity.
• Develop and enforce operational policies and best practices to drive efficiency.
• Collaborate with finance teams to track budgets, expenses, and resource allocation effectively.
• Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and performance.
• Support strategic financial planning efforts to ensure operational sustainability.
• Oversee technology stack management and ensure seamless integration of AI-powered tools for automation.
• Lead efforts to optimize use of Smarter
  
  X’s core tech stack, including, but not limited to:
  Hub Spot, ChatGPT, Google Workspace, Asana, Zoom, Descript, Docebo, and CB Insights.
• Manage tech stack contracts, licenses, permissions, training, and certifications.
• Work with teams across marketing, sales, customer success and education to drive utilization of technology solutions.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve collaboration across marketing, sales, customer success, and product teams.
• Develop and oversee project management frameworks to ensure smooth execution of company initiatives.
• Monitor key operational KPIs and report on business performance.

• Support AI agent planning, development, management and integration for operations across brands and business units and departments (marketing, sales, customer success, education, events).
