Role OverviewAs a Database Engineer II, you will design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions for AXS products. You will collaborate with developers, SREs, and Dev Ops engineers to support our development and data platform teams.

DB, etc.). - Integrate database deployments into CI/CD pipelines to support automated schema migrations, rollback, and testing.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code for database provisioning using Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Ansible.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure database performance, health, and security.
- Optimize queries, indexes, and execution plans to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Manage high‑availability, replication, backup, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with developers, SREs, and Dev Ops to ensure secure application‑database integration.
- Enforce security best practices, including encryption, key management, and compliance with data regulations.
- Automate operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root‑cause analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Engineer / DBA, with 3+ years in a Dev Ops/cloud environment.
- Proficiency with Postgre
SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Aurora (deep expertise in one, working knowledge of others). - Experience with CI/CD tools (Liqibase, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, etc.).
- Hands‑on experience with IaC (Terraform, Cloud Formation).
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure/GCP a plus).
- Solid understanding of database security, encryption, and auditing.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
$100,000‑$120,000 per year, with eligibility for a bonus under the current bonus plan.
