View Ray Systems designs, manufactures, and markets the MRIdian A3i® radiation therapy system to treat cancer patients with the smallest radiation therapy margins available with the highest patient throughput demonstrated for the most complicated cases The system treats by aligning the sharpest radiation therapy beam on the market to diagnostic quality magnetic resonance images (MRIs) of the patient, adapts the treatment plan to the reality of the patient, and then uses the real-time MRIs to control the beam and record real-time doses delivered to the patient.

View Ray Systems is currently seeking a Linux IT Architect who will share our passion for conquering cancer and help us develop and support novel cancer therapy systems. The Linux IT Architect will support both external customers and internal research efforts.

• Installation, configuration and tuning of Linux OS for development systems and servers.
• Cloning and version management for production Linux OS pipelines.
• Optimize the Linux OS and libraries for product performance and requirements.
• Horizontal and vertical scaling of servers running different Linux OS.
• Optimize the networking for latency communications between Linux servers.
• Provide support for internal deep learning projects.
• Identify cyber security threats and devise ways to prevent intrusions.
• Support installations and integration of the system with customer networks and infrastructure.
• Provide technical assistance to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system problems to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Use penetration testing and monitoring tools to detect and respond to security breaches and threats.
• Regularly prepare firmware and software updates to protect against vulnerabilities.
• Test and deploy patches to minimize disruption to users.
• Continuously monitor system health and performance using automated tools.
• Address anomalies and performance bottlenecks promptly.

• Experience with Linux System Administration.
• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree.
• Experience with encryption setup, RAID setups, and MFA setup.
• Experience with network management.

• MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree.
• Experience with Ubuntu systems administration.
• Preferred experience with MacOS systems administration.
• Experience with load balancing.
• Experience with IT horizontal & vertical scaling.
• Experience designing to IEC-60601 Medical device directives.
