The OpportunityAs part of EY Client Technology’s Engineering Architecture Practice, you will define and deliver architectures for mission‑critical global products, focusing on scalable distributed systems, cloud‑native solutions, modern enterprise architectures, and agentic AI systems.
You Will- Build relationships across the business to understand requirements, help create product and platform roadmaps including agentic AI solutions, and translate those into architecture blueprints and design patterns.
- Own the overall technology, architecture and design landscape of products and platforms from solutioning to delivery and adoption, applying expertise in distributed systems, containerization, orchestration, agent frameworks, and security patterns.
- Design and implement enterprise‑scale distributed and agentic AI solutions using modern protocols and frameworks, including web APIs, Model Context Protocol, Agent‑to‑Agent Protocol, Kubernetes, event‑driven architectures and rigorous security controls.
- Lead engineering teams or product portfolios, set technology direction, and act as a critical bridge between Engineering, Product Management, AI Safety and Operations.
- Develop new distributed system approaches, advanced reasoning patterns and modern architectural patterns through feasibility assessments, proof‑of‑concepts, vendor and platform evaluations, and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with AI engineers, prompt engineers, data scientists, platform and security teams to build architectures that comply with enterprise standards, AI governance, security and privacy requirements.
- Provide leadership in product delivery, building reusable functional and technical assets such as API libraries, containerised services, agent templates and tool‑integration libraries.
- Ensure interactions with enterprise systems and APIs maintain authentication, AI guardrails, scalability, reliability, observability and future‑proofing through best‑practice practices.
- Support product and project managers in planning, costing and forecasting for new products, including infrastructure, LLM API and token‑usage costs.
- Coach and mentor the delivery teams, ensuring artifacts meet architecture, security, AI safety and quality standards through reviews and validation processes.
- Act as the architecture elevator, translating boardroom strategy into server‑room implementation, building consensus, mediating conflicts, and providing technical guidance across stakeholders.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to business and engineering audiences and cultivate relationships across vendor and industry ecosystems.
- Led and governed global engineering teams and architects, driving technology and architecture at large, complex portfolios and achieving measurable enterprise‑wide adoption.
- Expert‑level proficiency in at least one of C#, Java, JavaScript, Type Script or Python, with proven ability to architect and implement AI‑powered enterprise‑scale solutions.
- Deep hands‑on experience with web APIs, containerisation technologies, event‑driven patterns, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect and emerging AI protocols such as Model Context Protocol and Agent‑to‑Agent.
- Strong architecture leadership, advanced patterns, and practical experience in large‑scale implementations across the product lifecycle.
- Hands‑on experience in architecture and delivery using cloud‑native services, full‑stack applications, Dev Sec Ops and automated deployment pipelines.
