About the Team

Our team delivers real-time data streaming services across the organization, acting as the central layer that provides customer demographic data to multiple lines of business. We support a large-scale, enterprise data landscape using streaming technologies and microservices to deliver reliable, secure access to master and non-master data.

We are seeking a Kafka Tester / API Testing Engineer to join one of several agile teams supporting critical data streaming and platform initiatives. This role focuses on validating the integrity, performance, and reliability of real-time data pipelines and APIs in a highly distributed environment.

• Development of a new platform for non-master data domains
• Enablement of future merger and acquisition integrations as legacy systems are modernized and decommissioned
• Expansion and support of enterprise data streaming services

• Design, develop, and execute test plans to validate Kafka-based data pipelines
• Perform message testing using JSON, Avro, and Kafka formats
• Configure Kafka clients and troubleshoot Kafka-related issues
• Validate data serialization/deserialization and ensure end-to-end data integrity
• Develop and execute API test cases using Postman and Swagger
• Perform manual and automated API testing, including performance and error handling
• Write and execute queries in SQL, Oracle, and Mongo
  
  DB based on data mapping logic
• Validate API responses, status codes, and payload structure
• Participate in agile ceremonies and manage work using Jira, Confluence, and Xray
• Support CI/CD pipelines through continuous integration and automated testing practices

• Apache Kafka (topics, partitions, producers, consumers, security)
• API testing tools:
  Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI
• Databases: SQL, Oracle, MongoDB
• Test management:
  Xray, Jira, Confluence
• Strong knowledge of API testing methodologies and best practices
