Job Profile Summary
The Digital and IT Functional Specialist (Level
2) is a key influencer in the strategic vision and roadmap implementation for the technology area(s) and business functions they support. This position works directly with project leaders, technical or business analysts on the planning, execution, and support of information technology solutions. The Digital and IT Functional Specialist leverages knowledge in several technical or business disciplines to collaborate with peers in deploying highly secure and resilient information technology solutions.
This position works with the Enterprise Manager/Director and Division/Country IT Manager to help set departmental goals and technology targets.
Responsibilities
- Advisor on Quality business processes, proactively anticipates changes, makes recommendations to leadership, and is proficient in IT life‑cycle management
- Responsible for global support of business applications/solutions spanning multiple business functions
- Proactively anticipates changes, makes recommendations to leadership, leads and implements change within the team
- Responsible for regional or global support of technical solutions or business applications spanning multiple technologies or business functions
- Responsible for architectural runway emergence in design and system development reducing technical debt
- Advisor on technology or business systems portfolio that will drive expected results for the business, achieving consistent cost‑effective, stable and sustainable solutions
- Works with identified business units to develop innovative IT solutions to fit business needs
- Producing cost‑benefit analysis and recommending solutions to improve business processes
- Effectively communicates technical issues to project team members and management, adapting written, verbal and presentation material to the audience and environment
- Proficient in IT life‑cycle management methodologies, including design, development, testing, project management and change management
- Able to interpret business requirements effectively and translate them to information technology solutions
- Demonstrates a high degree of emotional intelligence and organizational awareness
- Completes root‑cause analysis of issues and decisively leads problem resolution
- Maintains a strong focus on a business or technology solution’s ROI and realistic achievable business value
- Builds trust with business partners and stakeholders by translating complex technical solutions into non‑technical language
- Responsible and accountable for team members implementing Parker Values and building a trust‑based relationship throughout the team
Qualifications
This role is subject to Export Control Restrictions (ITAR) and all applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee.
- 4‑year University/College Degree in Engineering, IS/IT, Business, or related function
- Eight or more years’ experience in Quality Systems Process and Information Technology with industry‑recognized certifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
- Experience in Information Technology, expertise in Agile methodologies, and experience in security best practices and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to maintain professional and strong relationships with business partners, contractors, and stakeholders
- Recommended training and experience in areas such as Zero Defect, Agile leading teams and projects, Lean concepts and principles, Security & Compliance Best Practices, UiPath Best Practices, Building Trust Under Pressure, Finance for Nonfinancial Leaders, Team Building & Networking, subject matter expert in two or more technologies in the focus area / supporting business function, leading several complex and/or global projects, leading a Kaizen event and HPTs, and business acumen development
