ERP Architect – Dynamics 365 Business Central
Akkodis, Inc. is seeking a Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP Architect for a full-time, remote role with a fast-growing industry leader. The Architect will design, configure, extend, and optimize the ERP platform to support manufacturing, supply chain, finance, quality, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience implementing, administering, or architecting Microsoft Business Central in a manufacturing environment.
Salary Range: $140,000–$160,000 per year, plus fully employer‑paid healthcare benefits and salary negotiable based on experience, education, and location.

Business Central ERP ArchitectJob Responsibilities
- ERP Architecture & Technical Leadership: Serve as the primary technical authority for Business Central architecture, configurations, customizations, and integrations; define and maintain ERP technical standards; partner with CIO and Director of Enterprise Systems to shape the roadmap.
- System Configuration & Process Design: Design end‑to‑end business process flows across manufacturing, MRP, procurement, finance, inventory, quality, and supply chain; configure modules, workflows, rules, and parameters to support functional requirements; ensure alignment with standard manufacturing best practices.
- ERP Development & Extension Management: Build and maintain Business Central extensions, customizations, APIs, data models, and AL code; develop workflows, automation logic, and integration patterns; ensure scalability and maintainability following Microsoft best practices.
- Support & Operational Stability: Provide Tier‑2/3 support for Business Central issues, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions; maintain clean master data, governance, user roles, and permissions; troubleshoot performance issues and integration failures.
- Integration & Data Architecture: Design and support system integrations using APIs, middleware, or iPaaS platforms; collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build and maintain ERP extensions, workflows, and customizations; maintain high‑quality data models for analytics and reporting.
- Project Execution & ERP Lifecycle Support: Lead solution design sessions with stakeholders; support go‑live activities—including cutover planning, data migration, testing, and validation— and drive long‑term optimization through continuous improvement.
- 5–7 years implementing, administering, or architecting Microsoft Business Central in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of MRP, inventory management, BOMs, routings, costing, procurement, and supply chain processes.
- Experience with system integration design, including REST APIs, OData, middleware, or iPaaS platforms.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into high‑quality technical designs and scalable solutions.
- Experience with AL development, extension architecture, and Microsoft’s ERP development tools (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system behavior.
- Successful track record collaborating with manufacturing, finance, operations, and quality teams.
- Experience supporting ERP go‑lives or Business Central upgrades.
- Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Experience with SQL, data modeling, reporting tools, or BI platforms.
- Understanding of best practices for master data governance and security.
