Job DescriptionThe Solutions Architect Lead is a key member of the architecture team, responsible for maintaining architecture artifacts for a set of applications and systems within a program. The role involves collaborating with Business and IT Stakeholders to design solution architectures that meet business needs while aligning with strategic goals.
This position translates business requirements into specific architectures to deliver value, building relationships across the organization, and providing technical leadership and guidance. The Solutions Architect will work on multiple projects, share knowledge, and ensure architectural standards are followed.
Essential Functions Strategy & Planning- Provide expertise to support business and technology transformation activities.
- Contribute to technology strategy, research emerging technologies, and recommend new features or non-functional requirements.
- Develop relationships with subject matter experts and stakeholders to define requirements.
- Promote reuse and synergies across projects.
- Collaborate to develop comprehensive solutions architecture and communicate these to relevant teams.
- Support system development with reference architectures and standards.
- Work with SOA CoE and Application Security teams to design services and ensure security requirements are met.
- Stay current on industry best practices and emerging design patterns.
- Oversee multiple project initiatives from a technical perspective.
- Participate in technology evaluation, selection, and lifecycle management.
- Evaluate architectures for feasibility, cost, and risks; develop prototypes as needed.
- Document and maintain architectural designs and standards.
- Create models, use case scenarios, and data diagrams to guide IT teams.
- Ensure solutions comply with architecture and standards.
- Mentor team members and support risk management.
- Support other projects and initiatives.
- Participate in hiring and compliance activities.
- Travel minimally and work flexible hours as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science;
Master’s preferred. - Certification or experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF) is a plus.
- 10+ years in IT, with 6+ years in designing and implementing distributed systems.
- At least 4 years’ experience with Salesforce and CRM systems.
- Strong knowledge of architecture principles, technologies, and connectivity.
- Experience in strategic planning, technology evaluation, and architecture analysis.
- Experience with end-to-end Salesforce implementations, cloud, virtualization, and integration patterns.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory standards (PCI, SOX, HIPAA).
- Experience in Agile environments, particularly SAFe, is a plus.
- Familiarity with data integration, REST APIs, and multi-org Salesforce deployments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and lead across teams.
- Comfortable with change and continuous learning.
