Job SummaryThe Account Manager (AM) is the primary day‑to‑day contact for all service needs for both external and internal customers. The AM manages a book of Transportation/Trucking clients, delivers client service excellence, and oversees accurate insurance processing and renewal activities.
Responsibilities- Manage overall team operations, client coordination, and customer service delivery.
- Coach, develop, and support Account Associates and other team members.
- Assist Producers and Account Executives with client service commitments.
- Monitor service standards, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
- Act as the day‑to‑day customer contact, troubleshooting issues and ensuring client success.
- Oversee new business and renewal processes, including day‑to‑day client changes.
- Drive client retention, account rounding, referrals, and seamless renewals.
- Ensure pre‑renewal information is sent within service standards and follow up with clients and underwriters for quotes.
- Collaborate with Producers and Service Teams on renewal marketing plans and deliver proposals.
- Review quotes for accuracy, negotiate coverage/price, and complete renewal bind processes.
- Maintain accurate file documentation to minimize E&O exposure.
- Current P&C insurance license in the state of the agency office.
- Ability to work toward a professional designation.
- Comfortable in an electronic environment with strong computer skills.
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma (college preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the insurance industry or a related business field.
