Real Estate Associate-Cleveland

Overview

Ice Miller seeks an associate to join our Real Estate practice group in Cleveland. Ideal candidates will have one (1) to two (2) years of experience.

This role will represent developers, investors, lenders, and corporate clients in complex real estate and other transactions. The position offers the opportunity to work alongside a nationally recognized team on matters including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. Ideal candidates will bring strong drafting skills, sound judgment, and the ability to handle transactions independently. There will be other types of business-related transactions and deal support in this role.

• Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, and related real estate documents
• Manage complex real estate transactions from term sheet through closing
• Conduct and analyze due diligence, including title and survey review
• Support clients in real estate finance, development projects, and joint ventures as well as other deal support as needed

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• At least one (1) full year of experience practicing law in a law firm and in-house environment
• Active law license in Ohio
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills and business judgement
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States
