Job Details
  • Compensation: $18–$20 per hour, based on skills, experience, education, or training.
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday – NO WEEKENDS REQUIRED. Shifts available: 6 AM – 2:30 PM or 1:30 PM – 10 PM.
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, telemedicine, basic life & AD&D, short- & long-term disability, 401(k). Eligibility may vary by classification and length of employment.
Summary

The Shuttle Driver transports guests to and from the hospital, hotel or casino and local area in a friendly, efficient and courteous manner using safe driving practices. Responsibilities also include assisting guests with luggage, maintaining vehicle activity and maintenance logs.

Essential Functions
  • Shuttle guests to approved destinations; learn and remember pickup and drop‑off points; know property outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, main attractions, parking rates, etc. (40%)
  • Communicate courteously via telephone, two‑way radio or in person; greet guests within 30 seconds, use guest last name, maintain professionalism and composure under pressure (20%)
  • Operate a vehicle seating 16+ people; inspect vehicle before each shift; monitor condition and log malfunctions (20%)
  • Protect guest confidentiality per HIPAA; maintain security of client financial and identifying information; provide only a hand for assistance; check and clean wheelchairs; assist with boarding, using specialized equipment as needed (20%)
Qualifications Education
  • High school diploma or GED
Required Licensure, Certification, etc.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement in the state of employment
  • Pass criminal background, MVR, drug screen, and client‑specific requirements
  • At least 21 years of age (due to vehicle leasing contract)
  • Maintain valid driver’s license at all times; pass annual/semi‑annual MVR check (DOT endorsements) and bi‑annual physical exam
  • Complete Wheelchair Safety Training provided by Towne Park (if applicable)
  • Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate
Work Experience
  • At least 3 years of commercial driving experience or 9 years overall driving experience
Knowledge
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle
Skills
  • Read and write standard English; comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence
  • Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group settings to guests, clients, and staff
  • Basic arithmetic with three‑digit numbers and understanding of 10’s and 100’s operations; convert units of American money
  • Understand 24‑hour and military time systems; understand rates applicable to time passed
SCOPE

Job is routine; follows established practices and procedures. Decides within operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect smooth operation.

Employee has control over resources available only.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Regularly required to talk or hear; sit or stand for extended periods; run, walk, handle objects, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; specific vision abilities required. May exert up to 100 lb occasionally; up to 50 lb frequently; up to 20 lb constantly. Majority of work outdoors; subject to extreme heat and cold.

Travel

Up to 5% travel may be required.
