Moog’s Space & Defense – Power & Data group is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist in Highland Heights, OH or Cleveland, OH. Your role is essential for developing, implementing, controlling, and optimizing procurement and planning processes for the entire company. You will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the company's business plan and flowing it down to the logistics department, especially for achieving goals that contribute to its growth.

You will review of bills of material (BOMs) and drawings of material planning and forecasting, and vendor management and assessment. Additionally, you will assist with the procurement (sourcing, negotiating, and buying) of goods, materials, and services to meet the company's operational requirements. Finally, in this role, you will conduct regular analysis of procurement and planning systems and processes to ensure the highest levels of quality and efficiency are achieved and must exercise sound and independent judgment when considering price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply based on MRP requirements.

You will report to the Logistics Manager in an onsite role.

To be considered for the Supply Chain Specialist role, here’s what you’ll typically need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline plus a minimum of three (3) years of relevant supply chain procurement experience;
    Relevant experience plus education may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience in purchasing, planning, and inventory control preferred.
  • Experience working with MPS/ERP systems.
  • Proficient in writing, verbally communicating, and presenting to various types of audiences.
  • Proficient with standard office productivity tools and equipment (i.e., Microsoft Suite).
  • Technological understanding consistent with the products being manufactured.
  • Competent in reading and understanding bills of materials.
  • Ability to work with others – within the department and throughout the company.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will:

  • Analyze inventory usage and demand to optimize stock levels, reorder points, and material availability.
  • Manage purchasing activities for materials, components, and services while meeting cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Maintain and review bills of material, item revisions, and ERP data to support accurate planning and production.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Production, and Operations to align material requirements with business needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance, negotiate pricing and terms, resolve supply issues, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Track market trends, capacity constraints, and supply risks, communicating potential impacts to stakeholders.
  • Support inventory management, production planning, throughput analysis, and capacity growth initiatives.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
  • Serve as a key liaison across departments, facilitating effective communication and supporting customer demand fulfillment.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply, timely delivery, and continuous improvement.
