We are looking for a Buyer to join a Cleveland-area manufacturing team. This role is a great fit for someone who understands manufacturing operations, enjoys working with vendors, and can manage purchasing from sourcing and pricing through delivery.
What you’ll do:
- Purchase raw materials, supplies, outside services, and other items needed to support production.
- Source vendors, review bids and quotes, and negotiate pricing and terms.
- Create and manage purchase orders using SAP.
- Track orders, resolve purchasing issues, and ensure timely delivery.
- Work with internal departments to support production needs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor vendor performance, quality, and delivery.
What we’re looking for:
- 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- SAP/ERP experience strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis.
- Strong negotiation, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
