Machine Operator
for a company in Bedford Hts.

Job Description:

· Set up machinery with proper tooling, jigs, and settings to begin production runs.

· Start and operate production machines (wire draw lines, coiling, spooling, finishing) according to job specifications.

· Monitor machines during operation and make adjustments (speed, tension, feed, alignment) to maintain product quality and throughput.

· Inspect first-pieces and periodic samples for conformance to specs (diameter, length, surface defects, alloy composition, etc.).

· Maintain production records: quantities produced, scrap, machine downtime, changeovers.

· Clean, lubricate, and perform basic maintenance on machines to keep them in safe operating condition.

· Troubleshoot machine issues (jams, mis-feeds, abnormal sounds/vibrations) and elevate when needed to maintenance.

· Adhere to all safety and housekeeping standards: wear required PPE, lockout/tagout when required, maintain a clean work area.

· Participate in shift change-over: handoff to next operator, document issues, adjust as needed

Pay Rate $17.50
