Laboratory Technician II

Location:

Cleveland, OH 44111 - on W2 (without benefits)

Duration: 12 months contract on W2 + possible extension or conversion

• Perform analysis and tests of raw materials, in-process materials and finished product samples to verify conformity to specifications.
• Conduct in-coming raw materials testing, ensuring conformance to required specifications.
• Record test results on batch tickets and in the company’s computer operating system.
• Organize and maintain quality records and retain production/intermediate batches and raw material champions.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of tests.
• Set up, adjust, verify, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Maintain the housekeeping of the working place.
• Respect the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Policy.
• Evaluate retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
• Perform 5S audits or other audits according to a plan.
• Support all Quality Control related One PPG initiatives.

• Minimum of two-year technical degree preferred (Quality, Engineering, or other sciences) or three or more years of related experience and/or training.
• Two (2) years analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
